What We Believe

The Bible

The scriptures, inspired by the Holy Spirit, are the infallible Word of God containing a complete revelation and final authority of God’s will for man concerning his salvation and Christianity.

God

There is one true God and Creator who is eternally self existent, all powerful, absolutely holy, infinitely loving, who has revealed Himself in three persons— the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Father

The Father loved the peoples of the world so much that He gave His Son to die to bring mankind back to Himself. Jesus, in His earthly life, carried out the Father’s will and therefore revealed the Father’s will and purpose— to redeem mankind. Jesus also said, “If you have seen me you have seen the Father which reveals the Father’s nature of love, power and righteousness. It is the Father who answers our prayers in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ the Son of God, is true God and true man. Jesus, having died on the cross, became the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and in now seated at the right hand of the Father. He is now our Mediator and Advocate.

Holy Spirit

The believer is born again and set apart from the corruption that is in the world unto loving service to God by the Holy Spirit. Through His indwelling presence we are enabled to be living witnesses by living a godly life and by revealing God’s goodness and power through the exercise of supernatural gifts. The initial evidence of the Holy Spirit’s baptism in the believer’s life is speaking in other tongues (unlearned languages) as the Spirit of God gives them audible expression.

Mankind

Mankind was created in the likeness and image of God but lost the high position and potential in which we were created through sin. Evil, sickness and death had become our legacy but by faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration through Holy Spirit, spiritual life is restored.

The New Birth

By believing in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again and by receiving Him as saviour, anyone can be born again into the family of God. A new life begins in fellowship with God, having new desires and ability to please God.

Healing

Divine healing is an integral part of the wholeness that is found in Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Our reconciliation unto God provides deliverance from sickness, disease and mental torment.

Church

The Church is the body of Christ and is to represent Him in purity, love and power. It is comprised of community of believers who regularly minister to one another in instruction, encouragement, fellowship and care both spiritually and naturally. Christ has commissioned His Church to go to the entire world spreading the good news of salvation with evidence.

Water Baptism

As we are totally immersed in water, we end a life expressing the appetites of a sinful nature and rise to walk in a new life of love patterned after Jesus Christ by faith.

Communion

It is the act of partaking of bread and the juice of grapes to remember and appropriate the victory Christ won on the cross and the bond of the fellowship of believers.

Jesus’ Return

The Blessed Hope, which is the glorious visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His overcoming bride (His church). Heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death
